A high resolution art photo of this beautiful Paper Nautilus suitably named TREASURED NAUTILUS. Only the female of the species, like all argonauts, creates a paper-thin eggcase that coils around the octopus. The shell is gas filled and is used as a brood chamber to keep the young ones safe. This photo [and video linked to QR code] was taken while snorkelling at one of my favourite spots in Shelley Point called Heaven - St Helena Bay, West Coast, South Africa.
Composition: Polylon36, a modified polyester, is a highly sustainable material option when compared to natural yarns like cotton. This is because it has a much longer lifespan than cotton, due to its superior durability and resistance to wear and tear. Studies have shown that it can last up to three times longer than a natural yarn sock, reducing the need for frequent replacement and thus reducing the environmental impact of textile production.
The unique QR code attached to the socks will give you access to the live underwater video footage also captured by the artist. Bringing the ocean to you and introducing you to Heavens Sand Forest.
