About

Allow me to bring the ocean to you

Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Paternoster Waterfront, Studio SEA LOVE emerges as a beacon of authentic craftsmanship and ocean-inspired artistry. This family passion is shared by Adéle, Stef, and their two sons, Luca and Ringo. Inspired by their family friend, the renowned filmmaker of 'My Octopus Teacher,' Craig Foster, Adéle's deep connection with the ocean led to the inception of a groundbreaking concept in decor and design in 2021.

“Living a mere 200 meters from the shore break on the West Coast of the South African coastline allows me to draw parallels between the ocean-floor garden and the blossoming flowers on land, providing a unique perspective on the changing seasons beneath the waves,” Adéle explains.

All images are original underwater photos taken by Adéle. “I do not have photoshop; what you see is what I saw, raw beauty that offers plentiful nature’s nurturing.” Her keen eye for detail, coupled with her original underwater photographs, transforms each item into a limited edition, with only 100 prints available. This exclusivity adds a touch of vibrancy and charm to your lifestyle and surroundings.

Each product is adorned with a QR code, offering access to live video footage from Adéle's freediving expeditions. This results in a collection of visually stunning and deeply immersive underwater frames, allowing you to experience the ocean's magic from the comfort of your home.

At Studio SEA LOVE, we take pride in being a haven where all products are meticulously crafted by a local team, embodying the spirit of 'Local is Lekker.' Each product is a testament to the skilled hands of the vibrant Sea Love family, comprising individuals living in and around Paternoster and St Helena Bay. Adéle, the visionary behind the studio, emphasizes the importance of a positive work environment, ensuring that every stitch is infused with love and dedication. “My team knows they are not allowed to make a stitch if they are in a bad mood. Every stitch must be done with love.”

"I have been all over the world, but this is by far the best studio shop I have ever been in," exclaims a delighted customer. “Best is you meet the artist personally and she enthusiastically shares each story of each named image with delight. I loved meeting the crazy mermaid of the West Coast.”

Follow the sign that proudly declares, 'I once was a plastic bottle,' and let the sounds of laughter and music guide you to this treasure trove.

In a world where creativity knows no bounds, Studio SEA LOVE invites you to dive into elegance and embrace the allure of the ocean with open arms. Immerse yourself in the captivating wonders of the underwater world at the Paternoster Waterfront.

Once in a while a truly unique concept arises that takes your breath away. Every photo Adéle takes underwater can never be duplicated. Freediving in the West Coast's freezing water is no joke. Taking these breathtaking photo's without a wetsuit requires perseverance and passion. The prints are vibrant and the textiles and finishing luxurious. This is ART in its true form.

Not only does Adéle excel in her love for the ocean and nature but she has taught many including myself to use the ocean as a prayer room and way of growing closer to God in good and difficult times. Her photos illustrate exactly that. For this I will be ever be thankful. Not only is this an art but a life changing passion of hers.
